EWES Sound Fastener is a Swedish invention that efficiently reduces any ambient noise, such as footsteps, talking and so on. The measured effect corresponds to 9 dB, or almost a halving of the perceived noise level.
How is this possible?
SF creates a one-millimetre gap between the wooden joists/fibreboard, and the 12.5 mm plasterboard, with the help of the unique SF spring. This effectively reduces the propagation of sound waves through walls or roof constructions.
